Julie and Julia, written AND directed by Nora Ephron got me back on this Blog. If you've seen the movie, you won't be questioning why. Quite simply, Julie gets Blogspot.com (yes, the familiar logo appears on screen!), and though she's a poor trampled-upon writer, her choice to maintain a blog ultimately gets her 52 phone offers from agents and publishing houses, and the discovery of her wildest dreams (except for meeting Julia Child).
I can't say I'm back for the same reasons, but rather that I was reminded by the movie of this blog that I have, and wanted to update it a little. Not that it would be a bad idea to try the Julie Powell thing... it just takes commitment, and the willingness to risk everything, even my marriage, to achieve my dreams. I'll do it! I'll blog! Wow, I never thought of blogging in such a serious way.
It was quite nice revisiting this place and talking about nothing significant at all. Probably see you in a year.
